When getting or setting a profile, any part of the profile can contain a tab without being disconnected and without voiding the syntax.

I should know because I did this with my Jailout2000 account on U.S. West, I opened a text editor, made a tab, copied that tab to the clipboard, and pasted it into my description and location, after I was satisfied, I pressed OK in Starcraft and everything went well, no disconnects. And when other clients view my profile, they don't have problems either. However if your using a bot to display a user's profile in channel or whisper, it won't show all of the profile due to the tabs.

Anyway, the point is, profiles may contain tabs.
